Ask the Expert

The Business Culture Hull is all about sharing support and education that allows us to develop as individuals and to grow our businesses. One way to do this is to ‘Ask the Expert’.

Most business owners face challenges along the way, and when that happens, not knowing which way to turn can be very stressful.

‘Ask the Expert’ was introduced to the membership during the Covid 19 pandemic in March 2020.

Like most great ideas, it's straightforward. Each month, we find an expert in a particular field of business and invite them to talk to the club members either in an open forum or by pre-submitted anonymised questions.

The speakers are chosen not only for being an expert in their field but also for being able to speak your language! They may be the expert now, but they have faced many of the same challenges we all have as we've worked to start and build our businesses.

Listen, learn and enjoy!

Adapt to thrive; how The Business Culture Hull tackles problems head-on

Member Insights

The Business Culture Hull likes to think of itself as being dynamic, continually innovating to meet the challenges of a changing environment. A prime example of this outlook is a member insights session.

This is another newly introduced feature to support members during and beyond the Covid-19 pandemic.

This global crisis created all sorts of new business challenges. As a membership, we quickly identified some common themes emerging that swift collective action could tackle head-on.

Weekly member-insights sessions are ‘open chats’ with fellow members on topics specific to those challenges. Any member can listen-in.

These are not sales-pitches or networking collaborations. This is two people talking openly and honestly about their experiences – both good and bad, what worked, what didn’t work and how they’ve adapted!

The idea is for members to listen and learn while gaining some great insights, not least that they’re not the only ones facing similar struggles.

Motivational Speakers

If you get a real buzz from listening to a person who motivates and inspires you, you'll love our motivational speaker sessions. The Business Culture Hull loves to organise these events, and guess what; they're also part of our membership package.

What makes these events special is that we don't just find great speakers, but also try to create a bit of theatre to make them and the central message, even more memorable.

We seek out the best! People like Steve Judge. Steve is a two-times world triathlon champion who almost lost both his legs as a teenager. Did this stop him? No it did not, and his story is remarkable!

Chris Robinson is a pilot who, having lost his right arm during a routine flight, designed and made a bionic arm! The things Chris has gone on to achieve in his life are truly inspiring!

A former member of the renowned SAS, Spencer Locker’s unique brand of training brings a unique approach to personal and business development to our board rooms.
